EAST AFRICAN CUP TOURNAMENT
East African cup, the annual tournament this year will be held from 23rd to 28th of June 2009. The tournament will take place in Moshi, Kilimanjaro. About 52 teams of boys and girls aged under 16 and under 13 will participate.

About 52 teams of boys and girls aged under 16 and under 13 will participate. The teams will be accommodated at Moshi Technical school (MTS) and the fields will be Magereza, Moshi technical, Ushirika , kibo Mawenzi and Memorial. |

The participating teams will be from Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and the host Tanzania. The tournament also will provide various training through seminars, topics areas like: - Youth rights (including fair Play/justice/environment/child labour issues) - HIV/Aids and drugs - Sports related issues (First aid, sports medicine (injury prevention and treatment) - Leadership/community participation - Alternative activity e.g. Frisbee. |
The BBC training on initiative “Your Game”. This initiative seeks to focus media in Africa in advance of World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Media will be trained in reporting on the cultural and thematic settings/frameworks of the event.
