Why use MDDs?

Why use MDDs?

Why use MDDs?

MDDs can find mines and explosives by using their senses and are therefore invaluable for NPA’s mine action work.

A mine detection dog can:

- Find a mine that lies five meters under the ground

- Find a mine that has been buried for more than 40 years

- Find a mine 20 times faster than a person with a mine detector

- Clear over 800 square meters of cultivable land in one day
