NPA leadership
Organisational structure and board
The Norwegian People's Aid has both members (800 000) affiliated collectively, through trade unions belonging to the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions, and individual members in 126 local branches that are in turn organized in district divisions.
The NPA's highest authority is the General Assembly, which is held every fourth year. The highest authority in between the General Assemblies is the National Board and the Central Board. The Secretary General heads the Main Administration and is responsible for the daily operation. Representatives from the unions and the district and local units of the NPA constitute the membership of the National Board.
