PADV

A community information awareness raising meeting

As a resource, research, training and advocacy agent PADV addresses domestic violence; its goals are to change public attitudes and assist the victims. Active since 1995, it is the first local NGO to deal with the matter. It currently works in four provinces with a staff of 24. The NPA-PADV partnership dates from 2004.

NPA supported PADV’s production of awareness materials including T-shirts and calendars with a clear message about domestic violence. NPA helped PADV’s media campaign on marital rape, providing training for local government officials and the staging of village and school presentations about domestic violence.  NPA also supported the costs of monitoring and evaluation, in-house training, the development of lobbying and advocacy strategies and with operating expenses.
