NPA SEE Youth Initiatives Program: Two New Youth Clubs Opened in Jablanica, BiH
With assistance of NPA’s partner Youth Club UNDER THE SAME SUN, on June 27, 2008, two new youth clubs in the Jablanica municipality were opened in rural areas of Doljani and Sovici.

NPA SEE Youth Initiatives Program - NPA Regional Meeting “NPA YOUTH PARTNER CSOs PLANNING FOR 2008-2009”
From May 30 through June 01, 2008, in the Hotel «Argosy», Dubrovnik, Croatia, NPA held meeting with 36 representatives of 11 NPA’s youth partner and potential partner civil society organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Serbia who shared their views on youth and political issues. They also presented their organizational achievements in 2007-2008 and outlined a platform for the 2009 project planning.

NPA Marks End of Mine Clearance Project on the border Between Serbia and Croatia
On Thursday 29. May NPA together with the Norwegian Ambassador to Serbia Haakon Blankenborg and Director of the Serbian Mine Action Center Petar Mihajlovic marked the end of a mine clearance project in Serbia.
MEDIA DONORS PROTEST NOTE TO THE MACEDONIAN MINISTER OF INTERIOR
Media donor coordination group sent a protest note to the Macedonian Minister of Interior regarding the theft of ALSAT-M and ART TV transmitters that took place on Saturday 24 May in Tetovo region.

NPA MEDIA DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME - THEY CAN DO IT TOGETHER
Gender equality, position of women in media and gender-sensitive reporting were the main topics of the workshop held in Kragujevac 17th of May by NPA's media partner "Local Press" and NPA’s WCDI trainers with 10 male and 11 female editors and journalists from local print media.

Youth Demilitarization Campaign in Prijedor
On April 25, 2008, the youth group Krug A (Circle A) conducted a demilitarization campaign in Prijedor (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Around 20 youth activists installed info stand at the Prijedor’s main square pedestrian zone, where they spoke with passers-by explaining them what demilitarization means, why it is a safer solution than it is production of ever more weapons, how it reflects in everyday life and how it is easy to pursue.

NPA YOUTH INITIATIVES PROGRAM: Knowledge for Democracy
In partnership with NPA, (ECL) is implementing a project “School Parliaments III knowledge quiz for better democracy understanding” aiming at improving the capacities of high school parliaments in the Jablanica district for participation and better understanding of democratic institutional/organizational structures, standards, values and procedures.

NPA YOUTH INITIATIVES PROGRAM: Gun Cult Debated in Pozega
On the 3rd of April 2008, in the City Gallery of Pozega, NPA’s youth and civil society partner organization Forca organized a screening of the film "Gun Cult with Serbs" (2005), produced by NPA’s media partner ANEM (Association of Independent Electronic Media) http://www.anem.org.yu/.

NPA SEE Youth Initiatives Program: First Convention of the Rasina District School Parliaments Assembly
On March 28, 2008, presidents of 14 school parliaments from the Rasina district and 8 representatives of school parliaments from Krusevac, Varvarin, Cicevac, Aleksandrovac, Trstenik and Brus established the Rasina District School Parliaments Assembly.

NPA SEE Youth Initiatives Program: Civil Society Development in Serbia – a Public Debate in Kraljevo
On March 27, 2008, a public debate on civil society development in Serbia took place in the premises of NPA’s youth partner LINGUA, Kraljevo (www.zamislisrbiju.org, www.forumnvo.org.yu/). The debate was organized as a part of promotion of the release of the Civil Society Index – Country report for Serbia: “Civil Society in Serbia. Suppressed during the 1990s – Gaining Legitimacy and Recognition After 2000” (www.civicus.org/new/CSI_Serbia.htm).
