The website of the Solidar Consortium in Sri Lanka has now been launched and can be viewed at www.solidarsrilanka.org. This website is a window to many of the activities undertaken by the consortium and its members in Sri Lanka. NPA is one of three members of the consortium.

The grass roots must be listened to

Over the past year, Norwegian People’s Aid has continually emphasised that the grass roots of the community should form an active player in reconstruction in Sri Lanka after the tsunami, and that aid work should take place in accordance with local needs.

When the Christmas holiday suddenly ended

NPA employee Ed Meaby enjoyed his Christmas holiday in Hikaduya when he and everyone else in Sri Lanka were surprised by the Tsunami. Suddenly he had to use all his experience as a former soldier to help people who were hit by the tragic wave.
