The International Campaign to Ban Landmines

The International Campaign to Ban Landmines is comprised of international NGOs supporting ICBLs three core demands:

- An international ban on all production and use of anti-personnel mines.
- Increased resources for humanitarian demining programs.
- Increased resources for the rehabilitation of mine victims.

ICBL was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997, together with its co-ordinator, Jody Williams. Jody Williams is presently ICBL's ambassador, and devotes most of her time to the campaign in an honorary capacity. Norwegian Peoples Aid has been a member of the ICBL Board since 1998.
