Women Can Do It (WCDI)

Women Can Do It (WCDI-Myanmar) is an alumni network of women that focuses on awareness raising to build self-confidence among women and strengthen their capacities and capabilities to work as change makers for promoting gender equality and women’s rights and building democratic society peacefully in Myanmar. Since its founding in June 2011 by women leaders from various civil society organizations in Myanmar, the network has then strived for engendering the public sphere and gaining influence in decision-making positions and process on equal terms with men. The key tasks of WCDI Myanmar is promoting women as leaders at the different levels of political and administrative sectors national wide through building supportive structures and mechanisms (across organizations, professionals, social classes, ethnic nationalities, territories and religions/faiths)
