On March 22, 2026, the NPA team in Attapeu safely removed an MK82 500Ib bomb which was discovered during clearance operations in Phaosamphan Village, Xaysetha District, Attapeu Province.

The aircraft bomb was buried approximately 60 cm below the surface in a cassava plantation area. The Provincial Operations Coordinator (POC), Oad Kheunthayad, assessed the area and decided to destroy the bomb in-situ, as it was located away from residential areas, power lines, and livestock.

Each safely removed bomb not only eliminates danger but also restores peace of mind, helping families live and farm safely.
