NPA Vietnam in the joint efforts with the localities for the sustainable development of Vietnam

On 26 August 2025, NPA attended a meeting with the international Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) in Viet Nam 2025 themed “Connecting Localities and International Non-Governmental Organizations for Sustainable Development of Vietnam” hosted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, with participation of hundreds of representatives from ministries, departments and localities of Vietnam and INGOs operating in Vietnam.

The meeting consisted of two sessions on the topics “Orientation and Assessment of Localities’ Needs for International NGO Assistance in Addressing Social Issues in the New Context” and “Orientation and Assessment of Localities’ Needs for International NGO Assistance in Promoting Sustainable Economic Development in the New Context”.

It was our honor to be invited to join the panel for the first session in which Mr. Aubrey Miles Sutherland, NPA Vietnam Country Director shared about humanitarian demining activities NPA have conducted with good models of successful collaboration between the INGO and local people and our strategic plans, to continue supporting Vietnam to address the legacies of wars as a contribution to the sustainable socio-economic development for Vietnam.
